Helen was my sister, much loved and, now, sorely missed. As a teenager she was given a hard time by our father and I’m sure this led to the depression which she suffered for most of her life since. The drugs she took to cope lead, eventually, to kidney failure which she dealt with well until the secondary effects of kidney replacement gradually wore her down such that the later stages of her life were not pleasant. She endured it all as well as she could supported so well by Bill. My brother had a life borne down by mental issues and Helen had a life borne down by both mental and, later, physical issues. I’m so sorry I could not help you suffer such issues: I have been so lucky in my life. If I were religious, I would wish you, Helen, God speed. RIP my love.
